Description

Something for summer.

Edit: Added more wave dynamic based on crits to make his board seem more connected and interacting with the water.

Your work on colors is excellent but.. the board does not interact with the sea ? I think this would need some work on the movement :)

Great style and love the smooth water... great ligthing and composition, love the angel. The only thing there is no water path... that would be a nice addition to this awesome surf painitng.

Awesome style, but the picture isn't convincing enough. The surfer is quite detailed and sharp, while the wave is, for the most part, flat. It's almost as if he's floating above the water. Maybe add some more white wash or shadows below him to show that he's actually in the water. The perspective on the board and the proportions of the surfer don't quite match either. The surfer is fairly tall and broad, but the surfboard remains thin even on the closest part of the board. Maybe widening the board at the front would help a lil with that.

Good one! I think the simplicity of the wave is what really makes the surfer pop out, bra!

The downwards side of the board could perhaps look more connected to the water, like adding a little wave or something. Not for that matter, I'm not completely sure how it looks when surfing...
Anyway, vice colours. Well done! (thumbup)

does he really have six toes (i dont know if it is the correct word, but i mean the fingers of the feet)? Very good artwork anyway.

Hehe, no maumau. I guess its just the ball of the underside of his foot looking like an additional toe.

Ahem, so anyway finally get to leave a comment on the final result. What can I say that I haven't already before? Spectacular! and loving the colours. Like I said you do water effects very very well. There's a good sense of a motion here and I think it's something we don't often see from you =D

i like it, and most of hte anatomy is great, but i cant believe no one has mentioned the head yet, the back of the skul is way to small, it should come out from the neck rather than inwards towards the top, it makes his face look too big for the head and body.
other than that and the board i like it.
